Job Title: Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and building structural steel frames, posts, beams etc. for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand and machine tools.
  • Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines.
  • Bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools.
  • Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting.
  • Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing.
  • Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiseling and grinding.
  • Working in a workshop environment.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Metal Fabricator, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • 6 years experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Able to read drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of battery drills, angle grinders and other power tools.
  • Manual WA drivers license and Forklift license essential.
