Job Title: Skilled Metal Fabricator

WA haulage repairs are seeking a highly skilled and qualified metal fabricator to join their team in Kewdale, WA.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and analyse blueprints and drawings, possess experience in using TIG and MIG welders, and be able to weld various metals using different techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake precision metal fabrication tasks, including cutting, rolling, shaping, bending, moulding, spinning, heating or hammering metal products.
  • Examine welds for width of bead, penetration and precision.
  • Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment.
  • Assemble parts and structures by lining them up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting.
  • Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing or bathing them in acid solutions, or by applying protective or decorative coatings.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in this role or similar.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
