
Financial Crime Compliance Risk Specialist

This role is a key position in strengthening our financial crime compliance framework through risk assessments, policy support and cross-functional collaboration. The Advisor will work closely with the Policy and Framework team, Assurance team and internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial crime risks ensuring our compliance practices remain robust and forward-thinking.
Responsibilities- Lead and maintain financial crime risk assessments
- Support the development and refinement of compliance policies
- Monitor adherence to financial crime procedures and report findings
- Contribute to training and awareness initiatives
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance outcomes
A strong understanding of financial crime obligations including AML/CTF legislation and AUSTRAC guidance is required. Experience in financial services and banking equips you to assess risk across diverse products and third-party relationships. Analytical by nature, you quickly identify issues and offer practical business-focused solutions. You are confident conducting AML/CTF risk assessments navigating regulatory change and building trusted relationships with stakeholders and regulators alike.
