Position Summary:

Lead the restructuring and improvement of a Project Management Office (PMO) function within a Federal Government department.

The PMO function requires a strategic review and defined operational direction. We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead the development of a revised workflow management, financial, procurement, and contract management PMO system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a new PMO workflow management system
  • Provide strategic oversight of financial processes, procurement, and contract management
  • Work closely with high-level stakeholders and teams across the department
  • Engage in leadership activities and contribute to the team's success

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a Federal Government PMO function, ideally on a review and build project
  • Project management qualifications (Agile, Prince2) highly desirable
  • Familiarity with communicating with internal and external stakeholders at the executive level
  • Australian citizenship required, Australian Police Check needed within 3 months of start date
