Senior Associate - Litigation / Insolvency Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled litigation and insolvency specialist to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with our market-leading partners on complex and high-profile commercial litigation matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law, torts, and equity, with experience in preparing and conducting complex commercial disputes, including insolvency and restructuring matters. You will also be able to conduct research, provide advice, and collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for resolving disputes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide expert advice on various aspects of commercial law
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers to develop and implement dispute resolution strategies
  • Prepare and conduct complex commercial disputes, including insolvency and restructuring matters
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on case progress and outcomes
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience gained in a reputable commercial law firm
  • Proven expertise in litigation and insolvency, with a keen interest in developing your career in this space
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
