Residential Drafting Specialist

Metricon Homes, Australia's leading home builder, is seeking a skilled Residential Drafting Specialist to join our New South Wales Drafting Team based in Baulkham Hills.

This is a highly rewarding and challenging role that requires the production of design drawings using CAD/Revit for site plans, design solution sketches, sales plans, working drawings, variations, council plans, and final construction drawings.

The successful candidate will have formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher), a minimum of 2 years drafting experience within the volume residential building industry, and be competent and experienced with AutoCAD and Revit in residential drafting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce design drawings in accordance with design and construction details dictated by Building Code of Australia, local authority requirements, and relevant planning requirements.
  • Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales estimate, as well as in accordance with Metricon and building standards.
  • Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services, and processes in order to complete work confidently.
