Analytical Scientist

We are recruiting an experienced chemist to join our team in Perth, Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize mass spectrometry analysis and liquid chromatography method optimization using automated tools and established processes.
- Coordinate LC-MS/MS support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
- Contribute to our quality management system by preparing standard operating procedures and laboratory support including equipment ordering and calibration.
- Develop new analytical methods and improve current capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our technical team to design and implement automation and data processing solutions.
- Develop new methods and improve current analytical capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as chemistry.
- Extensive computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
- Produce accurate documentation and report analytical activities and results clearly.
- Highly motivated and dedicated individual with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to learn new techniques and processes quickly.
- Plan, schedule, and carry out work effectively for successful project completion.
Preferred but not Essential
- Experience working with LC-MS/MS techniques in pre-clinical small molecule assays.
- Knowledge of MassLynx, Analyst, or other mass spectrometry software packages.
- Wider knowledge of analytical support in drug discovery and development.
- Knowledge of DMPK/ADME assays within drug discovery.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on LC-MS/MS equipment.
