Job Summary:
  • As a key member of the Sofitel team, you will be responsible for the supervision and support of the bread operation production and delivery for all related outlets.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Pastry Chef in menu preparations, ensuring adequate supplies are available for service. Demonstrate exceptional service skills, ensuring that guests are provided with personalized service and that their requests are quickly and efficiently achieved.

  • Train junior staff on bread making knowledge and skills, delegating duties and responsibilities to employees to ensure service demands are met.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and safety procedures, ensuring all working areas are clean and tidy with no cross-contamination.
  • Lead by example, embodying the art of French hospitality through a 'can do' attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Contribute to Culinary revenue through effective food cost control and assist Senior Chefs with menu preparation.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
  • Highly motivated with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for gastronomy.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with a working understanding of food safety standards and HACCP.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
