Respiratory Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to contribute to the healthcare team at IIQAF. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in evaluating, treating, and managing patients with respiratory illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic testing to assess patients' respiratory health and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Monitor patients' response to treatments and adjust therapy plans accordingly, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management techniques, promoting self-care and empowerment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and patient safety.
  • Document patients' progress and provide accurate reports to the healthcare team, facilitating informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in respiratory health.
  • Valid certification as a Respiratory Therapist, showcasing expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment, including ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and other respiratory care tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of respiratory care services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritizing patient needs and adapting to changing circumstances.
