Project Scheduler Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our team. This role provides project level scheduling support throughout the project lifecycle to the assigned project team(s) by providing detailed expert technical scheduling administration, advice, monitoring and support.

This role is a conduit between all areas of the business, interpreting project needs and in turn developing and maintaining executable project schedules which are aligned with resource availability, system dependencies and milestones/timelines as defined by the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, plan and schedule whole submarine maintenance activities.
  • Understand and document the sequence of works, relationships, durations and resource requirements.
  • Develop project schedules including the identification and verification of the critical path.
  • Monitor and control all activities through the planning and execution of activities.
  • Update activity information and status based on information from various sources.
  • Rescheduling of activities in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Communication of trends to the Project Manager and Project Team.
  • Detailed schedule analysis for relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' demonstrated project planning and scheduling experience within a complex project environment, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding and/or heavy engineering industries.
  • Proven experience working as a Project Scheduler in a complex project environment and with large volume schedules.
  • Advanced skills in Primavera P6 or other scheduling software.
  • Minimum intermediate-level Excel skills, especially in handling and transforming data.
  • Understanding of project management principles and lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A high-level of integrity and resilience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) (desirable).
