About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Sleep Consultant to join our team at MediSolution. As a Clinical Sleep Consultant, you will provide expert guidance and support to families with infants and young children on a range of early parenting issues, primarily infant and toddler sleep, feeding, and adjustment to parenthood.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide early parenting clinical expertise to promote the health and wellbeing of families with infants and young children.
  • Offer information, support, guidance, and advice via telephone consultation to families with infants and young children on early parenting issues.
  • Provide appropriate referrals or interventions relating to the child or parent's health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver face-to-face education/training to parents, early childhood educators, and health professionals in group settings or on an individual basis.
  • Maintain clear and accurate client records.
  • Attend and contribute to Clinical and staff team meetings and Company Conferences.
  • Provide a consistently high level of service to clients in a prompt and pleasant manner.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards and confidentiality in dealing with clients and their personal information.
  • Maintain respectful, empathetic, and compassionate relationships with clients.
  • Consult with the Clinical Director at any times of uncertainty or if work extends the Employee beyond her registered and qualified scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nurse or Child Health Nurse with current AHPRA registration or Qualified Early Childhood Educator.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • A minimum of 5 years working with families.
  • A minimum of 2 years working hands-on with families including those with infant and child sleep challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Ability to display empathy, warmth, and understanding to all families.
  • Experience working with patient/client management systems.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
