Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team on a part-time role. As a key member of our dental practice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists and dental hygienists during dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments.
  • Provide chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists, including passing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient comfort.
  • Manage patient records and update electronic medical records.
  • Greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, and answer phone calls.
  • Coordinate and manage patient flow in the reception area.
  • Assist with billing and insurance claims processing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address patient inquiries and concerns.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a dental practice or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and dental software.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, with the willingness to transition into a permanent role.
