About the Role

In this influential leadership position within an agile framework, you will serve as the Network Engineering Product Owner – Principal. Your role is crucial in achieving optimized energy usage, implementing effective and sustainable energy and environmental strategies, and advancing technological capabilities that enable Telstra to fulfill its environmental and sustainability commitments.

Key Duties

As a Networks, Environment & Energy Principal, you will leverage your extensive expertise to formulate, establish, and disseminate the Energy & Environment vision for a diverse network, ensuring maximum value for both customers and the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing strategic thinking combined with in-depth knowledge of networks, facilities, energy, and environmental standards to create and implement power, cooling, and environmental system solutions that align with the Energy and Environment Strategy.
  • Formulating the Energy consumption & Environment strategy, incorporating technological innovations and climate adaptation initiatives.
  • Contributing to the organization’s climate change and sustainability objectives.
  • Enhancing Telstra's energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and executing sustainability projects to meet corporate goals.
  • Developing strategies for recycling decommissioned infrastructure to support a circular economy.

Essential Qualifications

  • Expertise in Energy Storage Technologies and Reserve Power.
  • Knowledge of cooling technologies.
  • Experience with renewable energy and energy reduction strategies.
  • Familiarity with emerging energy-efficient solutions and technologies.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Exceptional influencing and communication abilities.
  • Experience in Business Case Development.
