Pharmaceutical Management Role

We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Management professional to join our team in the Sunshine Coast, QLD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical management services to our internal staff and pharmacists in the coastal areas between Sunshine Coast and Townsville, QLD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel.
  • Assign duties and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient needs.
  • Monitor the quality and efficiency of pharmaceutical services provided to patients.
  • Address patient concerns and inquiries, especially those related to medications.
  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring that medications are well-stocked, organised, and within expiration dates.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to order pharmaceuticals and supplies as needed.
  • Implement and enforce pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct quality assessments and audits.
  • Manage medication error reporting and investigation processes.
  • Implement strategies to reduce medication errors and improve patient safety.
  • Manage the pharmacy's budget, including tracking expenses and revenue.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue-enhancing initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities for pharmacy staff.
  • Perform employee evaluations and address performance issues.
Requirements:
  • Past experience as a Pharmacy Service Manager or similar role.
  • Past experience as a Pharmacist or Senior Pharmacist.
  • Past experience as a retail manager.
  • Past experience working at a Pharmacy or Chemist.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent sense of initiative and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with support team and pharmacists.
  • Ability to be well-organised and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel from store to store along the coast of QLD.
  • Australian police check.
