Job Title: Depot Manager

Brisbane Metro, the city's public transportation service, is seeking a depot manager to lead one of its most technologically advanced depots. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to drive the future of high-capacity transportation options and launch a new era of connected travel.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in transportation operations, process improvement, and driving efficiencies. They will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational oversight of the depot, ensuring all operational activities are executed to deliver network plans and services.

This role plays a pivotal part in connecting the city, linking suburbs, and overseeing metro services. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can work collaboratively across all depots, displaying a positive attitude towards One Council goals. They will also be responsible for contributing to business planning, analysis, and reporting activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Proven leadership in transportation with a track record of process improvement and driving efficiencies.
  2. Contribution to leading transformative business changes.
  3. Proficiency in planning, progress monitoring, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  4. Direction in governance, risk management, quality assurance, and cost control.
  5. Background in promoting zero harm and ensuring workplace and customer safety.
  6. Accomplishments in developing business plans and overseeing projects to meet budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  7. Proven expertise in building high-performance teams and modelling a culture that prioritises respect and wellbeing.
