Job Summary:

The Project Officer will provide administrative support to the Director, Water Management and Use, and the Management team. The role involves coordinating the provision of administration, human resources, finance, and other activities as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide effective administrative support to the Director and Management team, including maintaining central email accounts, diary management, acting as secretariat for meetings, booking travel, and communicating financial reporting updates.
  • Financial Management: Utilize information technology and financial systems to monitor, investigate, and analyze financial data, and implement measures to ensure compliance and general ledger integrity.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide advice to the Director and Management team regarding workflow management and service delivery issues across the Water Management & Use workforce.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Collate data and provide accurate input to the preparation of reports and correspondence.
  • Project Management: Support project management and reporting systems, and identify opportunities to add value to the business needs.
  • Purchasing and Budgeting: Undertake purchasing activities and coordinate matters associated with budget, assets, and human resources for the Director Water Management & Use.
  • Administrative Systems: Demonstrate innovation and enthusiasm in developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing administrative systems and procedures in the Water Management & Use Team. Perform accurate document and record management activities, including hard copy and electronic file management.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as directed and required.
