Operations Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to drive operational excellence and business growth. This pivotal role will oversee daily operations, workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to achieve consistent high performance.

As the key link between management and the field workforce, you will implement and improve operational systems, safety protocols, and reporting processes to ensure efficient workflows and compliance with industry standards.

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise in electrical contracting, construction, or related trades to scale businesses through improved systems, processes, and team performance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of scheduling, labour productivity, and job costing, as well as excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations across Maintenance and Project divisions.
  • Optimise workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to achieve efficiency and consistency.
  • Implement and improve operational systems, safety protocols, and reporting processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor efficiency, workflows, and safety standards to ensure high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational challenges, ensuring quick resolution within the business.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for both new and existing clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
Requirements:
  • Proven operational management experience in electrical contracting, construction, or related trades.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, labour productivity, and job costing.
  • Hands-on problem solver with a process-driven mindset.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercially astute and able to translate operational data into business outcomes.
  • Proven track record of scaling businesses through improved systems, processes, and team performance.
  • Strong commitment to safety, with experience embedding a positive safety culture across teams.
