We're seeking an accomplished Process Excellence Lead to drive metallurgical performance, innovation, and continuous improvement at our copper mine.

About the Role

As a key technical leader, you'll be responsible for monitoring and optimizing metallurgical performance across crushing, grinding, flotation, and dewatering circuits. You'll also lead and deliver metallurgical projects, plant trials, and improvement initiatives, providing expert guidance to production teams on process troubleshooting and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Metallurgical Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize metallurgical performance across crushing, grinding, flotation, and dewatering circuits
  • Project Leadership: Lead and deliver metallurgical projects, plant trials, and improvement initiatives
  • Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance to production teams on process troubleshooting and efficiency
  • Data Analysis: Conduct metallurgical accounting, data analysis, and performance reporting
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
  • Talent Development: Mentor and support junior metallurgists and metallurgical technicians
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in base metals concentrators, preferably copper
  • Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in flotation and underground ore processing
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a practical, hands-on approach
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
