As a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Government of Western Australia Department of Health, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and oversee the delivery of quality patient care within your area of specialty. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to improve and promote desired outcomes for patients through the development of standards of practice, implementation of changes to clinical practice, initiating research and quality improvement activities; and providing a consultation service within your area of expertise/assigned area to all customers within the Hospital and Health Service.
About the Role:
This is a Permanent Full Time or Fixed Term Full Time appointment with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing and overseeing delivery of quality patient care within their area of specialty. They will work collaboratively to improve and promote desired outcomes for patients through the development of standards of practice, implementation of changes to clinical practice, initiating research and quality improvement activities; and the provision of a consultation service within their area of expertise/assigned area to all customers within the Hospital and Health Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement high-quality patient care plans that meet the needs of patients
- To work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes
- To provide education and training to other healthcare professionals on best practices in patient care
- To participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standard of patient care
