Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively in a supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation, deliver evidence-based nursing care, liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, ensure patient and staff safety, supervise and guide nursing team members, and document into the patient's medical record objectively and clearly.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Deliver high-quality patient care based on current best practice
  • Liaise effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Supervise, direct, and guide nursing team members to enhance their skills and confidence
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of operative nursing care provided and implement improvements as needed
  • Document patient information accurately and comprehensively in the medical record
Requirements
  • CURRENT REGISTRATION WITH AHPRA AS A REGISTERED NURSE
  • MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS POSTGRADUATE EXPERIENCE IN AN ACUTE PERIOPERATIVE ENVIRONMENT
  • VALID NSW WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
  • AVALABILITY FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE ON-CALL ROSTER
  • COMMITMENT TO PROVIDING HIGH-QUALITY PATIENT CARE
  • COMPETENCE IN CLINICAL DECISION-MAKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS
  • EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
