We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and direct our software development team.

Job Description:
  • To lead and manage a talented team of engineers in delivering high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Recruit, motivate, mentor, and enable your team members to achieve success.
  2. Set goals with the team; prioritize tasks, identify, and measure key performance indicators.
  3. Maximise individual and team results while supporting career growth and development.
  4. Collaborate with project managers, HWE, QA, and certification teams to drive projects forward.
  5. Monitor progress from kickoff to post-project review and handle escalations effectively.
  6. Communicate complex technical issues with OEMs, ODMs, SiPs, and IHVs.
  7. Prioritise customer requests globally for timely resolution.
  8. Work closely with product engineering teams, including Desktop, Foundations, Kernel, and Security.
  9. Provide leadership on methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, deep knowledge of Linux systems, low-level debugging expertise, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective management skills.

Requirements:
  • Strong background in Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian.
  • Experience in managing teams and prioritising tasks.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
