Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team, partnering with the Australian Federal Government to deliver data-driven solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning the sales cycle for defined federal government accounts, from identifying opportunities to closing strategic deals.

You will develop tailored account plans aligned to government goals, procurement processes, and stakeholder priorities. Building strong relationships with public sector decision-makers, influencers, and executives is essential for success in this role.

Collaborate cross-functionally with BDRs, Pre-Sales, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver impactful engagements. Showcase Tableau's capabilities in solving real-world government data challenges, driving transformation across services and departments.

Maintain high standards of CRM forecasting and account documentation, enabling proactive and data-driven sales strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A successful track record in enterprise or public sector solution selling, ideally in SaaS, analytics, or data platforms.
  • Prior experience working with or selling into federal government agencies (APS experience highly desirable).
  • Understanding of government procurement, funding cycles, and digital transformation objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills, especially within structured, complex organisations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
