Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quarry Supervisor to join our team at our Yarra Valley quarry. As a Quarry Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the quarry, ensuring that production targets are met, and that safety and quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safety performance of employees and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and the Mine Safety Management Plan.
  • Meet and achieve production targets, ensuring that the quarry operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that quality control standards are met, in conjunction with client requirements and the site-specific Quarry Management Plan.
  • Manage environmental management and conformance, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and the site-specific Environmental Management Plan.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quarry operations.
  • Coordinate truck drivers, product deliveries, and associated tasks.
  • Develop and implement quarry development and production plans.
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment processes.

Requirements:

  • Ability to carry out work as instructed by the Quarry Manager.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Preferably, experience in HR or HC, with knowledge and experience in Continuous Improvement strategies.
  • Knowledge and experience with fixed and mobile crushing plants.
  • Knowledge and experience with earthmoving and quarry machinery.
  • Ability to manage production costs versus budget.
