Medical Nutrition Therapy Specialist\

As a Medical Nutrition Therapy Specialist, you will play a vital role in our weight management team. Your key responsibilities include providing personalized nutrition advice to patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and teaching classes on healthy eating habits.

Key Responsibilities\
  • Develop and implement individualized medical nutrition therapy plans for patients enrolled in our weight management programs.
  • Work closely with surgeons, physicians, psychologists, nurses, and other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Teach classes on nutrition and healthy eating habits, as well as manage phone calls from patients with nutrition-related questions.
  • Review lab results and implement standing orders for vitamin replacement as needed.
Requirements\
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field of study is required.
  • Registration and licensure as a dietitian (RD) are also necessary.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related position, preferably in non-surgical and surgical weight management, is strongly preferred.
  • Certification as a Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or willingness to obtain within 1-2 years is highly desirable.
