In the QLD market, we deliver Valuations and Advisory services across a premier client base incorporating commercial, residential, retail, and industrial properties. The Brisbane team prides itself on having a strong client base across all segments of the market and is often sought out by clients to undertake complex valuation assignments.

The Assistant Valuer role requires analytical skills, valuations, and financial capability working within the valuations team.

What this job involves:

  • You will provide support, analytical, and technical assistance to Directors within the Brisbane Valuations & Advisory team.
  • You will work alongside a Director with opportunities to inspect, prepare reports, and investigate/analyse the market.
  • You will gain a thorough understanding of Residential projects and development sites, focusing on medium and high-rise apartments as well as land subdivisions.

This role offers extensive training in the use of advanced financial and sensitivity programs (Estate Master Cash Flow and Investment Models) for valuation reports.

You will be encouraged to attend client functions and seminars as well as our preparation and mentoring to assist with Accreditation as a Valuer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing timely, accurate valuations under supervision to support the pitching and delivery of client transactions.
  • Undertaking financial and sensitivity analysis to support business-winning teams.
  • Verifying data and conducting audits.
  • Compiling and verifying market evidence for reports.
  • Preparing, editing, and modifying computer cashflow models.
  • Providing direct assistance to enable the Valuations team to effectively undertake its functions.
  • Working closely with Sales and Leasing Services team to ensure maintenance and alignment of technical competency.
  • Attending client functions and seminars.

An ideal candidate would have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a property-related field.
  • A passion for the property industry.
  • High computer literacy, sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service ethic.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
  • Ability to work within tight time constraints and multitask.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.

We estimate the salary for this position to be approximately $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
