We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Substation group, you will play a vital role in the design and delivery of our electrical substation projects.

Your primary function will be to design the substation primary engineering for electrical substation projects up to 500kV, ensuring compliance with relevant national/international standards and contract specifications. This will involve identifying all relevant standards and local customer requirements, and developing different solutions as part of the design optimisation process.

You will also be responsible for coordinating interference checker and its resolution, ensuring clash-free design based on the definition of clash checks defined by each discipline for internal review steps. Additionally, you will prepare substation design calculations, define primary design subsystems and bills of material, and ensure designs are safe and adhere to required electrical clearances while providing necessary provision for maintenance during the life of the installation.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience in foundations, ideally in substations. You will possess problem-solving/analytical skills, geotechnical interpretation knowledge, and proficiency with various software tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, etc.
