Senior Infrastructure Professional Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing, managing and maintaining complex infrastructure systems.

Job Description

The role involves implementing, managing and retiring physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure that supports digital services. You will use your technical expertise to provide expert advice on the management and maintenance of ICT platforms and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the provision of robust gateway infrastructure capabilities.

As a Senior Gateway Engineer, you will exercise independent judgement and decision-making skills, working under the guidance of senior staff to achieve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design/evaluate/implement infrastructure requirements to meet future demand
  • Provide expert technical support for project build, test and solution deployment activities
  • Prepare, review and maintain documentation including design documents, implementation plans and support procedures
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies, operational policies and change initiatives
  • Participate in change management process and communicate end-to-end implications of configuration changes
  • Provide detailed technical advice and share knowledge and expertise as a subject matter expert
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least five years demonstrated experience in designing, managing and maintaining internet gateway and/or large scale data centre networking environments
  • Demonstrated experience and technical proficiency in designing services using F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying network infrastructure including Cisco Data Centre technologies like Cisco ACI, Cisco Routers, nexus switches and routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
  • Demonstrated experience with Palo Alto firewalls and IPS solutions, VPN technologies, email and DNS (Infoblox) solutions and hybrid and public cloud services
