At Monadelphous, we are seeking a skilled Project Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of project financial data, including cost control metrics, forecasting, and variance analysis. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of project accounting, including cost control, progress claims, and generating project budgets and forecasts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project accounting activities, including cost control, progress claim assistance, and generating project budget and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Analyze project financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Cost control and analysis of earned value/shortfall
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting.
- Coordinate with corporate accounting to ensure accurate and timely project financial reporting.
- Review and approve project-related invoices, expenses, and payments.
- Prepare monthly management reports and present to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project accounting or related field.
- Preferable on-site experience in a large construction project or mining contractor.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with project accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
