Overview

The School Chaplain will play a vital role in enhancing the holistic development of students, fostering creativity, inclusivity, and personal growth. The successful candidate will be an empathetic individual who can empower students and nurture their emotional, spiritual, and well-being.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with secondary students. They will be able to provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to students, staff, and families.

Responsibilities include leading and supporting Religious Education and religious activities within the school, collaborating with Principal and Senior Leadership to integrate spirituality and character development into the curriculum, and contributing to a safe and confidential space for students.

A strong Christian theology with a liberal and open attitude towards people of all faiths is essential. Demonstrated experience supporting student wellbeing and providing chaplaincy services, preferably within a school environment, is highly regarded.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate an inspiring and engaging speaker able to connect with students, staff, and families, as well as strong ICT skills that enhance their ability to connect, create, and communicate in today's digital world.
