As a Family Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing information, support, referral, skills-based education and case management services to families in need. Your goal is to help them strengthen their relationships and improve their overall well-being.
- Provide support for the reunification of families engaged with Child Protection services
- Support families to build stronger attachments between children and parents
- Help caregivers develop the skills they need to provide a safe and nurturing environment for their children
- Work collaboratively with Child Protection services to resolve identified concerns they have with individual families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and goals
- Develop personalized plans to address client needs
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients as needed
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Document client progress and outcomes regularly
Requirements:
- Diploma in Community Services or related field
- Relevant experience in Child Protective Services Systems or associated disciplines
- Current C or CA class Driver's license (QLD)
