Electrical Engineering Position:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing electrical systems for heavy mobile equipment fast charging facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using MicroStation and AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

  • Designing and developing electrical systems including power distribution, control systems, auxiliary systems, and implementing DC power systems for battery electric vehicles.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate DC power systems into larger electrical projects, coordinating with other engineers to ensure seamless operation.
  • Providing drafting support for creating prototypes of power electronic systems as needed.
  • Integration: Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the overall design.
  • Cost Management: Assist in cost estimation for electrical components and systems, optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Participate in the testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, identifying and resolving issues during prototype and production phases.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, changes, and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Relevant experience in design & drafting.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD for electrical design.
  • A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical schematic drawings, cable lists, block diagrams, terminal drawings, reports & BOMs.
  • Experience with DC power component selection, including batteries, inverters, charge controllers, and power distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with different types of inverters and controllers and their compatibility with DC power systems.
  • Proven experience in designing power electronic circuits and systems, including power converters, inverters, rectifiers, and DC-DC converters.
  • An understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations for power electronics design, and efficiency standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
