As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a crucial role in transforming mental health care for our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mental health assessments and triage, ensuring timely and person-centred care coordination.
- Deliver telehealth services for rural emergency departments through the Northern Mental Health Emergency Care – Rural Access Program (NMHEC – RAP).
- Participate in our First Responder Program, providing real-time telehealth support to police and ambulance services with community mental health triage.
- Manage and process incoming referrals across the Hunter New England Mental Health service.
Requirements
- You must hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Counselling which provides eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
