The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated, trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team at the Dandenong branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing new Hitachi and Bell products to customer specifications, providing quality diagnostics and maintenance services, and ensuring all work is performed in a safe manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnostic, repairs, and maintenance of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and/or specified times targeting improved job efficiency
  • Preparation and testing of pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Minimum Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic)
  • Previous experience with the overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on earthmoving equipment and/or truck diagnostics
  • Heavy Rigid and Forklift licence would be highly regarded
  • A commitment to safety and strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
  • Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM
  • Able to work within a team environment
