Electrical and Controls Engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness of infrastructure projects in remote regions. As part of our Operational Readiness team at Dampier Ports, you will contribute to designing and implementing electrical systems for reclaimer and offboard infrastructure.

This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your engineering expertise and make a tangible impact on major infrastructure projects in the Pilbara region. You will work closely with key stakeholders to review electrical designs, identify areas for improvement, and implement design enhancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate electrical designs associated with reclaimer and offboard infrastructure
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving electrical system design and efficiency
  • Assess electrical and control shutdown scopes and provide expert feedback
  • Evaluate and refine reclaimer control system design and philosophy
  • Participate in electrical installations onsite to ensure compliance with design specifications

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with balance machines and iron ore mining operations beneficial
  • Functional safety experience and valid C class Driver's Licence essential

Work Schedule:

Flexible working arrangements available, Monday to Friday FIFO or residential opportunity
