Job Summary

Nutreco External is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize our warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse and Inventory Management:
    • Develop and maintain policies, processes, and procedures for safe and compliant warehousing and logistics operations.
    • Ensure receipt of all deliveries according to company procedures and oversee placement into warehouse.
    • Monitor inventory accuracy and assets through stock take and inventory controls.
    • Work closely with other functions to ensure adequate and appropriate inventory and storage is available to meet customer demands.
  • Logistics / Transport Management:
    • Manage all transport and distribution services, including receiving, storing, shipping, and handling returned/damaged goods.
    • Ensure customer requirements are met and resolve complex issues arising from variances with relevant parties.
  • People Management:
    • Provide leadership to warehouse and logistics personnel, setting individual objectives and reviewing performance.
    • Develop and direct personnel to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility.
  • Performance Management:
    • Maximize delivery efficiency and pickup/delivery performance.
    • Review and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure warehousing and logistics operations are meeting expectations.
  • Leading IBP Deployment:
    • Determine and maintain IBP process standards for Nutreco.
    • Deploy IBP process in selected Opco's, guiding and coaching business partners.
    • Drive and continuously improve Opco's towards required IBP maturity levels.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Review distribution methods, techniques, and procedures to proactively initiate changes to supply chain channels.
    • Lead lean and MyWorkplace roll-out, developing problem-solving methodologies.
    • Leverage value stream mapping and supply chain best practices.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure warehouses, internal fleet, and processes are compliant with insurance, legal licensing requirements, and national, state, and local regulations.
    • Ensure quality and food safety requirements are followed for all products during storage, transit, pickup, and delivery.
