About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to join our Galvanised Products maintenance team at GFG-Alliance. The operational team is highly safety-focused and process-driven, with a positive team culture. This role offers permanent and stable employment, predominantly on day shift with a requirement for shift work as per business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execution of preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Breakdowns, fault finding, and troubleshooting issues
  • Overhauling fixed plant or equipment
  • Providing feedback via the maintenance management system
  • Compliance with quality and safety processes to complete all tasks to a high standard
  • Working on shift as required

Requirements

  • Certificate III Mechanical Trade certificate is essential
  • Demonstrated experience overhauling fixed plant equipment
  • Additional trades training and/or experience with hydraulics and pneumatics or welding
  • SAP exposure
  • Strong focus on safety and initiative with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent fault finding and troubleshooting skills along with a proactive approach
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • A background in heavy manufacturing or mining is desirable
  • Forklift, HR, and EWP tickets would be highly regarded
