Flexible Anaesthetics Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced anaesthetist to join our contingent anaesthetics on-call roster, providing emergency-only services for a major Melbourne private hospital.
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to plan shifts well in advance and enjoy attractive fixed rates with full billing rights retained.
Key Features:
- Contingency-only overnight roster at a major Melbourne private hospital
- No daytime backfill or unnecessary call-ins
- Fully supported environment with 24/7 ICU and ED
- Attractive fixed rates ($1,500 midweek | $3,000 weekends) plus full billing rights
- Slight flexibility around start times to accommodate any daytime list overruns
- Doctors retain full billings for urgent cases
Responsibilities:
- Emergency Anaesthetics Only for: Orthopaedics, Plastics, Urology, and General Surgery
- No Obstetrics and Cardio-Thoracic cover required
- Average call-ins occur once every six nights
- Weekend day lists may include urgent cases (typically 2–7) which cannot be delayed until Monday
Location & Accommodation:
- Anaesthetists must be in Melbourne or nearby
- Accommodation can be arranged if required
