The Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of construction activities related to subcontractors. Key responsibilities include contract administration, budget oversight, adherence to commercial agreements and effective relationship management with subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the scope of work for subcontractors, encompassing contract specifications, drawings and schedules.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and collaborate with subcontractors to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical issues promptly.
  • Oversee daily activities of subcontractors and ensure that work is executed in accordance with business priorities (HSE, quality, schedule and budget) and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate work planning with all subcontractor trades and participate in regular planning meetings.
  • Issue non-compliance reports (NCRs) to subcontractors as necessary.
  • Monitor activities and provide progress reports (HSE, quality, schedule and budget).
  • Coordinate change management processes and manage claims with subcontractors.
  • Approve timesheets, progress reports and invoicing.
  • Manage weekly meetings with subcontractors (progress, performance, risks and opportunities, contractual issues review, invoicing, etc.) and maintain minutes of meetings.
  • Ensure timely collection and maintenance of all relevant subcontractor documentation as per the contract.
