Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist

 

Job Description:

The Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal products, working with a variety of materials and tools to meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting metal stock to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Checking sizes against drawings to guarantee precise fits
  • Marking metal with lines and reference points using specialized tools
  • Cutting and shaping metal using machinery such as guillotines, drills, and power shears
  • Shaping and forming metal into desired shapes using folding and bending machines
  • Employing high-precision techniques to achieve seamless joints and smooth finishes
  • Cleaning and finishing products to remove debris or imperfections
  • Filling gaps and creating a smooth finish using sanders and filling tools

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and materials science
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials
