As a Systems (Presales) Engineer, you will deliver technical insights and support throughout your client's zero trust journey. Your contributions will be pivotal in crafting technical solutions that secure essential business objectives. You will advocate for our leadership in on-premises, cloud, and security services, establishing Palo Alto Networks as the preferred cybersecurity partner.

Your Contributions

Curiosity is fundamental to the Systems (Presales) Engineer position, viewing complex challenges as opportunities for learning and innovative solution delivery. Your impact will be defined by:

Surpassing sales targets by developing and executing strategic technical account plans that focus on cross-platform solutions. Conducting thorough discovery sessions to comprehend and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial priorities of prospects and clients. Designing and presenting compelling technical and business-focused solutions that drive adoption and growth post-sale across the portfolio. Showcasing strong communication abilities and the capacity to influence through tailored presentations, customer-specific demonstrations, technical engagements, and workshops. Coordinating with supporting resources to ensure a unified approach that reflects a cohesive strategy. Advocating for comprehensive solutions that incorporate Palo Alto Networks and/or partner professional services to help clients realize business value more quickly. Analyzing the competitive landscape and effectively differentiating our leadership position. Continuously enhancing your technical and professional skills to increase your contributions to customer success while actively engaging with the Systems Engineering community and participating in industry events.

Required Qualifications

Your Background

Proficiency in data networking. Experience in delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and drive new business initiatives. Ability to influence and secure buy-in from key stakeholders, whether in a client-facing or internal capacity - prior experience in a presales environment is advantageous. Expertise in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements. Familiarity with selling, implementing, or managing SaaS/SASE/cloud/managed/on-premises solutions is a plus. Collaborating with Customer Support teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions. Experience with complex sales processes involving multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions is preferred.
