Job Summary

Water Treatment Operations Coordinator

This is a unique opportunity to lead and innovate in the field of water treatment operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of water treatment plants, reservoirs, and pumping stations.

  • Maintain high-quality water treatment by operating and maintaining the treatment plant, reservoirs, and laboratory services
  • Lead and motivate a team to ensure the provision of high-quality drinking water to the community
  • Operate a computer-based supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system
  • Provide 24-hour emergency response to address faults and failures at water treatment plants, reservoirs, and pumping stations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of water treatment facilities and equipment
  • Supervision of staff and delegation of tasks
  • Operation of SCADA system and data analysis
  • Emergency response and fault diagnosis

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Water Operations (Treatment)
  • Experience in supervision of water or sewage treatment plants and associated staff
  • Competency in computer operation and data entry
  • Class C driver's license
  • Fluoride course and Chlorine gas handling certificate/training

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Diploma in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
