About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Finance Manager on a part-time basis (3 days per week) for a 4-month contract.

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day controllership functions, including accounting operations and payroll, while enhancing financial compliance to support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including experience in a management or senior role.
  • Experience in the disability or aged care sector is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight of general accounting functions, including revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Leadership of month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Management of cash flow and forecast financial performance.
  • Ensurance of compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordination and liaison with external auditors, tax agents, and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintenance and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Provision of financial analysis and insights to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Supervision and mentoring of 3 finance team members.
  • Assistance with ad hoc financial projects as required.
