Tax Compliance Manager

The Corporate Finance team at Fletcher Building is seeking an experienced Tax Compliance Manager to join their team in North Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance support to the Australian business units, ensuring accurate and timely tax returns, and maintaining a high level of stakeholder satisfaction.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of tax returns, including communication with business units and review of tax accounting treatments.
- Support the Tax Manager Australia in managing incremental improvements to tax software packages.
- Coordinate the FBT compliance process and ensure accurate and timely completion of FBT returns.
- Develop and implement processes and controls for GST compliance and assurance of underlying core data and processes.
- Assist in reviewing specific business unit or jurisdictional tax positions to ensure accurate and compliant tax treatments.
To be considered for this role, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification, be CA qualified (or international equivalent), and have at least 5 years of demonstrated relevant tax experience. You will have strong knowledge of Australian corporate taxes, including income tax, GST, and FBT legislation. Critical to your success will be your exceptional stakeholder management skills, high numerical understanding, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex ideas to a diverse audience.
