Department Supervisor Role

This is a key opportunity to lead and manage teams within various departments on high-profile visual effects feature films.

As a Department Supervisor, you will work closely with senior management to ensure the smooth operation of your respective department(s).

You will be responsible for day-to-day team management, career development, suitable training provision, and ensuring all projects are adequately resourced.

This involves collaborating with production coordinators to ensure allocated tasks are progressing effectively through the department and deadlines are being met.

You will also build strong relationships with multiple project teams, upstream and downstream departments, and instill this into your team.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the VFX Feature Film industry
  • Excellent understanding of a VFX production pipeline
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and scheduling expertise
  • Excellent knowledge of VFX to make informed decisions on crew allocations and resourcing
  • Excellent teamwork ability
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience in managing artists and clients

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Shotgun and/or Filemaker
  • Previous experience working in or with development teams
