Pathology Specimen Collector Role

We are seeking a skilled Pathology Specimen Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection, and excellent customer service and communication skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples with care and attention, maintaining accurate patient and sample records, delivering documentation within tight deadlines, preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing, and liaising with customers, clinic staff, and couriers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collecting samples with precision and care
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
  • Meeting strict deadlines for documentation delivery
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transportation and testing
  • Liaising effectively with various stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or Certificate III in Pathology Collection
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Organized and efficient time management
  • Able to work independently in a solo clinic setting
  • Holds a valid Driver's license and has flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
  • Holds a Working With Children's Check or is willing to obtain one
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work
