Lead Technical Specialist

At a thriving engineering company, this leadership role offers great collaboration opportunities and excellent conditions. As a key team member, you will utilize your expertise to deliver diverse projects in Australia's mining sector.

Our client is a trusted multidiscipline engineering firm that collaborates with blue-chip mining companies on pre-feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

With a variety of ongoing projects and work packages, staff can work on new projects annually, gain new skills, and experience stability and permanency in the design field while having opportunities to grow and develop into new areas.

This is a hands-on leadership role that involves technical design. We look for a technical specialist who wants to delve deep into project details, interface with clients and stakeholders, and provide insights to directors and senior leaders across offices.

You will be an essential part of the leadership team driving performance, standards, and deliverables that enhance the company's reputation. Responsibilities include taking designs from concept to completed engineering deliverables, providing technical leadership and advice, ensuring tasks are within budget and schedule, and developing strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Requirements include:

  • 8+ years' experience in engineering for the mining and resources sector in an EPC environment.
  • Strong design experience with calculation and design documentation capabilities and practical experience working in construction, commissioning, and/or operations in bulk materials and minerals processing industries.
  • Experience across varied commodity types, including nickel and iron ore.
  • An individual who genuinely enjoys all things design and wants to be a senior leader and grow with the business.
