Job Opportunity:

A chance to collaborate in a part-time role, leading a dynamic Rates team and ensuring accurate management of Rates, Special Rates and Charges.

About the Role:
  • Lead a high-performing Rates team to achieve excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Provide advice and support to Revenue Officers, Customer Service staff, customers, solicitors, and conveyancers on Rates and Special Rates and Charges
Key Responsibilities:
  • Excellent customer service skills and empathy are essential for effective communication
  • In-depth knowledge of rating, voting, and special rates and charges provisions is required
  • Understanding of Council policies, goals, and objectives, including long-term goals of the Revenue Services Unit
  • Highly developed computer skills enable information retrieval, production of spreadsheets, accounts, and word-processed documents
  • Established planning and preparation expertise for annual requirements
  • Experience in budget preparation and analysis
  • Ability to undertake various accounting-related tasks
  • Effective administration and reconciliation skills
