Job Summary:
Behaviour Change SpecialistWe are seeking a Behaviour Change Specialist to engage with men in a targeted behaviour change process to support immediate, short term and long term behavioural and attitudinal change.
This is a full time ongoing role based on the principles of community-based rehabilitation and reintegration services for male perpetrators of family and domestic violence.
The Behaviour Change Specialist will provide culturally competent rehabilitation and reintegration services through group education initiatives in community-based settings. The role also entails high-level case note and assessment/report writing to Department of Justice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and deliver community education and community development programs
- Engage with men in a court mandated targeted behaviour change process to support immediate, short term and long term behavioural and attitudinal change
- Provide culturally competent rehabilitation and reintegration services through group education initiatives in community-based settings
- Write high-level case notes and assessments/reports to Department of Justice standards
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a human services related field
- Significant industry experience with specialist knowledge relevant to family and domestic violence including knowledge of intervention models appropriate to working with FDV perpetrators
- Knowledge of the impact of family violence on adult victims, children, young people and communities
- Ability to facilitate and deliver community education and community development programs
- Excellent formal report and case note writing skills
- Experience working with mandated clients would be highly desirable
