Job Description:

As a Behaviour Change Facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting men to make positive changes in their lives. Working in community-based settings and regional prisons, you will engage with men in a court-mandated targeted behaviour change process. Your goal will be to help them achieve immediate, short-term, and long-term behavioural and attitudinal change.

This is a rewarding role that requires you to be culturally competent and able to work with diverse groups of people. You will be co-facilitating group work sessions with another facilitator, promoting respectful and appropriate ways of communicating and interacting. This role also involves high-level case note and assessment/report writing to meet Department of Justice standards.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, based in Perth, flying out to regional locations in Broome, Karratha, and Kalgoorlie. Flights and accommodation will be provided.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a human services-related field
  • Significant industry experience and specialist knowledge relevant to family and domestic violence
  • Knowledge of intervention models and the impact of family violence on victims, children, young people, and communities
  • Ability to facilitate community education and development programs
  • Excellent formal report and case note writing skills
