Drill and Blast Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Drill and Blast Operations Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional results.

  • Utilise personnel and equipment effectively to meet production targets and plans.
  • Communicate drill and blast requirements at pre-shift meetings.
  • Coordinate work-crew responsibilities, ensuring employees are aware of changes and competent to perform tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Effective Utilisation of Personnel and Equipment: To meet production plans and targets.
  2. Communication: Communicate drill and blast requirements at pre-start meetings.
  3. Work-Crew Responsibilities: Coordinate work-crew responsibilities, ensuring employees are aware of changes and are competent to carry out tasks.

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of fostering safety in the workplace, proven experience as a Drill and Blast Supervisor, leading and mentoring teams effectively to drive performance outcomes. Experience in open pit mining within a Nickel, Copper, Gold, Lithium or Iron ore background is highly regarded. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships across the team and departments.
